New York City welcomes The 14th Annual HYBRID ReelAbilities Film Festival: New York, running from April 7th – 13th, 2022 in multiple venues, accessible in-person or virtually. The ReelAbilities Film Festival is the largest festival in the US dedicated to promoting awareness and appreciation of the lives, stories and artistic expressions of people with disabilities. Highlights include special LIVE post-screening conversations, presented by Pfizer, with featured festival filmmakers Marc Schiller (No Bone: Scars of Survival), Grace Fisher (Amazing Grace), Kelsey Peterson (Move Me); Opening Night Honoree Victor Calise (Former Commissioner of the New York City Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities); and Closing Night Spotlight Honoree Lauren Ridloff (The Eternals, The Walking Dead, Sound of Metal). For a full schedule of screenings, and to purchase tickets, visit the ReelAbilities Film Festival: New York website.
This year’s lineup of films is our largest and most diverse program to date, we always look for authentic stories, but this year, we put an extra focus on stories in first person, that are actually told by people with disabilities.
